Meet The Owner

Hello! My names Amanda Koch. Horses have been a life long passion for me. In 2023, I graduated with a degree in Equine Science from Johnson and Wales University. I’ve completed my certifications with Holistic Animal Studies by Angels Animals to offer care to your horses. When I’m not working with horses I love taking my dogs hiking, playing volleyball, and weight lifting in the gym.

Kinesiology Taping

What is kinesiology taping?
Kinesiology tape is a stretchy athletic tape that sticks directly to your horses hair to improve a range of issues.
Benefits include:
Pain reduction
Improved lymphatic and blood flow
Swelling reduction
Muscle and joint support
Increased proprioception
How does it work?
Kinesiology tape works to naturally reduce pain by stimulating nerve endings. The more nerve endings that are stimulated, the less pain receptors that can fire. The tape decompresses your horses skin allowing for better flow of blood and lymphatic fluid. It can be placed around a certain muscle or joint to support and stabilize it during movement. Wearing this tape stimulates proprioceptive nerves, increasing your horses awareness of where its legs are.
Pricing:
Price depends on how much tape is used, pricing starts at $20
As an add on to massage or ANMR: starts at $15 for first taping
Neuro-myofascial release
What is Neuro-myofascial release?
This technique uses a specialized tool to release soft tissues and increase neurological communication
between the brain and joints of the animal.
The Neurological component
- The technique addresses any areas of neurological miscommunication between the brain
and joints of an animal. It allows the animal to “reset” the area.
The Muscular component
- The technique addresses hypotonicity (low muscle tone) and hypertonicity (over-toned muscles)
by reestablishing proper neurological input and directly releasing spasms.
The Fascial component
- Fascia connects everything in the body. It can become inflamed and restricted due to scar tissue formation. This technique aids in releasing the fascia, allowing for proper movement and decrease in any associated pain.
Is this chiropractic? NO. This is a soft tissue technique and falls under animal massage laws, the technique allows the animals body to align itself.
Most animals can benefit from this technique! The exceptions are birds, reptiles, invertebrates, and primates.
